We are proud to be part of the Star Sixes event at the O2 in London from 13-16 July. The Betsafe Star Sixes tournament is a star studded event featuring players, once again proudly wearing their countries colours. Teams from Brazil, China, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Nigeria, Portugal, Scotland and Spain will feature in this world-class event.
We will be there to see our goals put through their paces by some the greatest players to have played the game such as Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Owen, Robert Pires, Youri Djorkaeff, Marcel Desailly, Michael Ballack, Dietmar Hamann, Fabrizio Ravanelli, Alessandro Del Piero, Paolo Di Canio, Luis Hernández, Jay-Jay Okocha, Deco, Dominic Matteo, Paul Dickov, Barry Ferguson, Carles Puyol, Luis García and many more.
As the name suggests Star Sixes is a Six-a-side tournament including a goal keeper based on FIFA and FA rules for small sided games with some exceptions designed to increase the spectacle and optimise the enjoyment for the fans and players. The games will take place on a bespoke 46x26m pitch using our 2.1×4.8m goals. Each game will be a 20 minute duration with no half-time with rolling substitutions. There are no player movement restrictions and no off-side rule.
As we produce all of our aluminium goals in-house we have built a pair of bespoke box net style goals especially for the event with some high quality subs benches for the main arena, As well as equipment for the main pitch we are also supplying goals and benches for the training area.
